The name of the Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) opening theme is generally known as the "Star Trek: The Next Generation Main Title" or "The Next Generation Theme", composed by Jerry Goldsmith and arranged by Dennis McCarthy. The theme features a prominent horn melody and was adapted from Goldsmith's theme from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
